Cancellation Policy

Thank you for considering Dewars Restaurant & Rooms for your accommodation needs. We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our guests to the best of our ability. Please review our cancellation policy below.

Reservation Deposit

Upon making a booking, a non-refundable deposit of £150 will be charged. This deposit will be applied towards the total cost of your stay.

Cancellation and Amendment Window

Guests may cancel or amend their bookings up to 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date without incurring any additional charges.

Cancellation within 7 Days

Any booking that is cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled arrival date will be charged the total amount of the reservation. This includes partial or complete cancellations of the booking.

No-Show Policy

In the event of a no-show, where the guest fails to arrive without cancelling the reservation, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.

Refunds and Charges

If you are eligible for a refund according to our cancellation policy, the refund will be processed within 7 business days from the cancellation date. Please note that any applicable fees or charges imposed by your payment provider may apply and are beyond our control.

Amendment Requests

If you wish to make changes to your reservation within the allowed cancellation window, please contact our customer service team directly. We will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability and any rate differences that may apply.

Group Bookings

Different cancellation policies may apply for group bookings. Please refer to your group booking confirmation or contact our customer service team for more information.

By making a reservation with our hotel, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions of our cancellation policy outlined above.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made to stay at Dewars Restaurant and Rooms. We kindly ask that you read the terms and conditions carefully as they contain important information about your stay. Dewars Restaurant and Rooms reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions as necessary. It is your responsibility to regularly review these  Terms and Conditions for any changes after your booking.

Payment

A non-refundable deposit of  £150 will be charged at the time of booking.  We reserve the right to ask guests to provide a valid credit or debit card upon check-in.  A credit card pre-authorisation will be taken upon arrival for the room rate balance and £30 per person per night incidental fees. You can choose to pay in full using a debit card or pre authorise your credit card for payment on departure, when you will have the option to provide a different method of payment should you wish.

Booking Changes and Cancellations

You can amend or cancel the dates of your reservation up to 7 days prior to arrival. If you choose to cancel your booking within 7 days of arrival, the full cost of the stay would be incurred.

While we will do our best to avoid having to cancel your booking however, on rare occasions it may become necessary for the hotel to cancel a room booking. In such circumstances, we will  either provide a room in another local hotel of similar quality, plus transport or provide you with a full refund. In the event of overbooking, we will assist you with relocation to an alternative hotel.

Check-in & Check-out

You may check-in to your rooms from 3pm and we kindly ask that bedrooms are vacated by 10am. We will endeavour to accommodate requests for an early check-in or a late check-out, however this is subject to room availability.

  For your security and protection, we will ask you to confirm your identity by providing your passport, driving licence or other form of photo ID upon check-in.

All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults during their stay. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who is under the age of 18.

Smoking Policy

Dewars Restaurant and Rooms is a non-smoking hotel. We have a designated smoking area and our staff will happily advise you of its location upon request. We reserve the right to charge the card you have registered on file a cleaning fee of £150  in the event we suspect smoking has taken place in your room(s) during your stay.

Food & Alcohol

Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the hotel premises, unless medically necessary.

If you wish to dine in our restaurant and bar, or enjoy afternoon tea with us, please reserve at the reception desk or with your waiter as early as possible to secure a table at your preferred time (although on rare occasions we may need to change the time of your booking).

Dogs

Your dog is welcome in our designated dog-friendly bedroom. There is a small dog park where your dog is free to walk around. We particularly ask that dogs should not be allowed onto the beds, sofas and armchairs. Any damage to hotel property will be charged on the credit card/debit card registered on file.

Sauna

Due to the heat, there is a risk of dehydration and it is advisable not to spend longer than 15 minutes inside. It is important to drink plenty of water before and after use.

Due to the extreme heat in the sauna, there are certain people who are advised to avoid them:
No photography is permitted in the sauna.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Children under the age of 6 are not permitted in the sauna.

Damage

In the event of any missing items and damage to the room or hotel property during your stay, we reserve the right to charge the credit card you registered a reasonable fee as payment for the damaged/missing item/s.

Data and Privacy

Your personal information will be used  in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in line with GDPR regulations.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by English law.
